How soon can you come?
Same-day is often available if you call before 3pm. Otherwise we get you on the schedule for the next opening with a 2 hour arrival window.
How does pricing work?
It's based on how much room your stuff takes up in the truck. The crew gives you a firm price and you approve it before anything is lifted.
Do I have to carry anything out?
No. Basement, attic, upstairs or the back of the yard, the crew goes and gets it. You just point.
Is one item worth a call?
Yes. One couch or one fridge is a normal call for us.
Where does it all go?
We look at what you have and decide where each item needs to go. Some things are recycled, some are donated, and the rest is disposed of responsibly. Want something donated? Tell us and we'll try to match it with a donation center. What a center accepts is up to them.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
We can give you a good idea on the call based on what you describe. The firm price comes when the crew sees it, and you approve it before anything moves.
Do I have to be home?
Not always. If we can get to everything, tell us on the call and we'll work out how you see and approve the price before we start.
Will you protect my floors and walls?
Yes. The crew protects floors and doorways on the way out and sweeps up when the job is done.
Do you take appliances like refrigerators and AC units?
Yes. Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves and air conditioners. A few items carry a small added fee, and you'll know about it before we load.
Can you take a whole room or garage, not just a few items?
Yes. From one item up to a full garage, basement or house. For bigger jobs see our cleanouts page, or just call and describe it.

Yes. TJ's is licensed and insured in Connecticut: Home Improvement Contractor HIC.0702580, demolition license dmcr.003466, and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm.
